Our guys at Autosblog.fr have had exclusive access to the Citroen DS5 Hybrid4, seen here in these preview pics. After its debut at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show, the DS5 hybrid will now take to international markets, with only minor modifications to the interior, which is now more refined and technological - although we will admit that the many commands on the central console look like they could require some time to get used to.

The new Citroen hybrid model borrows its technology from the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4, and it has the same gearstick, while some of the multimedia set-up looks entirely new for the PSA group. The DS5 will become the flagship model for the DS range (unless we see a future DS6), and the production version will go on show at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Hybrid4 system will use a two-litre diesel with electric motor producing a total of 200 hp, but other engine options are unknown at the moment.
