It’s one or the other for Lamborghini on the sedan or crossover front, according to reports. One of the vehicles will go into production, the other won’t and at this stage it seems that Lamborghini just has to choose which. The sedan model would go into competition with other supercar manufacturers, most notably with the recent Ferrari FF, and could be based on the Estoque concept previously seen in 2008.
Despite that, two prototypes are being built for evaluation, and one of these will subsequently be chosen for production as Lamborghini nears its 50th anniversary in a couple of years. While Lamborghini already has the Estoque sedan concept it could work with, reports are that the more favoured of the two is, in fact, the Lamborghini Crossover.
It would be based on the next generation Porsche Cayenne but could be a two-door SUV with a sloping roofline. Autoblog is saying that a sedan would make more sense as a flexible option that could be used for other future models like a grand touring Lamborghini, and a convertible. They’re running a poll if you want to have your say, and read that of others.
