The updated Lancia Ypsilon is a good looking little car, and we’re quite taken with the new Delta-look rear end which makes the Ypsilon seem more substantial than it really is. We can see why Lancia is focusing on a new luxury style, particularly for the interior, although we’re not quite convinced it will get the extra slice of market it’s hoping for.

This is especially for the fact that the engine options, from our point of view, are a little disappointing and I’m not sure men would go for them. Let’s face it, and indulge in a stereotype, I am a female driver, up for a new car and if I had a higher salary, or my dad got generous, I would buy one if only it was sportier and more powerful. So I wonder how my male counterparts might feel…. More on that later in our Lancia Ypsilon test drive.
