The Aston Martin Zagato V12 Vantage that went on display over the weekend at the 2011 Concorso d’Eleganza, won the Villa d’Este Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes, thanks to a public vote from the visitors at the show. The sexy coupé model was perhaps a predictable choice, but we’re not complaining.

The Zagato V12 Vantage was created to celebrate 50 years of Aston Martin-Zagato collaboration which first started with the DB4 GT Zagato. The V12 Vantage by Zagato at Villa d’Este is a racing model which will compete in the 24 hour Nurburgring race. It will be followed by a limited run of a production vehicle. A note on the wheels - the original ones in alloy that we first saw were replaced with blacked-out ones for Concorso, more suitable to the racing look.
