These Ferrari Superamerica 45 pics show the one-off model built for Ferrari collector Peter Kalikow and which will go on display at the Concorso d’Eleganza, Villa d’Este. The Superamerica 45 is based on the Ferrari 599 GTB and the name celebrates Kalikow’s 45 years as a Ferrari customer.
The Ferrari Superamerica 45 is an impressive piece of engineering with a rotating carbonfibre hard top and a completely new rear end designed to house the roof when the car’s in its open-top configuration. It’s a very sculpted model, with two side air outlets creating a longitudinal crease down the side of the car.
The colour of the Superamerica 45 is an exlcusive Blu Antille which is close to another of Kalikow’s important collector’s pieces - the 1961 Ferrari 400 Superamerica cabriolet. Other carbonfibre components feature on the front splitter, door sills and rear diffusor and are in a dark blue tint. The Superamerica 45 interior has a leather interior with dark blue carbonfibre contrast and a central touch-screen display. We’ll have more pics from the Villa d’Este event over the weekend.
