While there is more than just one of us envious over the possibility to do something like this, we’ve got to thank Michael Stoschek for giving the world the new Lancia Stratos. Based on the Ferrari 430 Scuderia you’d think there was plenty of pedigree there without having to base the one-off model on the original, legendary Stratos.

We’re glad he came up with the idea (and the funds) and the result is the special, one-off Lancia Stratos equipped with the 4.3-litre V8 from the Ferrari, but with 30 hp more at 540 hp. That’s enough to hit 100 km/hr in just 3.3 seconds - 200 km/hr takes just 9.7. See the Stratos on the track juxtaposed with some shots of the original model, before the new one goes for a nighttime rally. It’s all in German, but we’re more concerned with what we’re seeing.
