The Lamborghini Aventador sold-out production run of 12 months has become 18 months with the new Lambo V12 making quite a splash on the Italian exotic scene. We won’t consider the Ferrari FF as competition so that when the Aventador debuted this year it didn’t really steal anyone’s thunder, having a spotlight all its own (except maybe the Pagani Huayra but that’s another category of extreme).

With initial Lamborghini Aventador production figures between 600 and 700 for 2011, with another six months sold it’s easy to think that future Aventador owners around the world now total about 1,000. In addition to this gun start, apparently we can expect the Aventador Roadster as early as next year.
