Here is a new video starring the recently unveiled Renault Captur, the first Urban Crossover from the French carmaker that was introduced to the world at the recent 2013 Geneva Motor Show . The model measures 4.12 meters in length, 1.77 meters in width and 1.57 mters in height, rolls on large 16- or 17-inch wheels and has a ground clearance of 200 mm that emphasizes its off-road nature. The large boot enable it to hold from 377 to 455 litres, while a removable 1.6-litre bin is located in between the front seats.
The engine line-up of the Captur will include four units: on the petrol side we have the Energy TCe 90 unit (113 g/km of CO2 emissions and average fuel consumption of 4.9 litres/100km1) and the TCe 120 EDC (125g / 5.4 litres/100km1); on the diesel side instead we have the Energy dCi 90 (95g / 3.7 litres/100km1) and the dCi 90 EDC2 (104g / 4.1 litres/100km3). Its weight is basically the same as that of the Clio III, even though it has a larger footprint and extra comfort and safety equipment.
To ensure driver confidence, all versions of the Captur will be equipped with the ESC with Roll Movement Intervention: this device intervenes in extreme situations, whenever the body roll angle threatens to become excessive making use of the ESC’s control unit to brake individual wheels. Other highlights include Hill Start Assist, ABS and emergency brake assist, the latest-generation ESC traction control with seven sensors, bluetooth audio and telephone connectivity, USB port and jack socket, speed limiter with cruise control, MEDIA NAV or R-Link packs, Zip Collection seat covers and a height- and reach-adjustable steering wheel.
