Despite the Audi RS3 being an extremely exciting vehicle to drive - in fact, it’s extreme, period - Fifth Gear driver Vicky Butler-Henderson says that her “soul is [not] on fire” while driving. The RS3 does 0-100 in 4.2 seconds (faster than a Porsche 911, we’re told), has a 2.5-litre twin turbo engine and is fitted with Quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

This is quite a scary video with Vicky chatting away as she blasts around the Col De Turini - scene of the Monte Carlo rally. We wonder if you need to see your life flash before your eyes to get your soul on fire, because this is hair-raising stuff for those of us sitting at our computers.

It seems that Audi has kept just a little of its executive, luxury car feel in spite of providing us with a sizzling hot hatch. It might not look quite expensive enough, but the people on the street managed to pick the price as being about 40,000 euros. Meaning that the extreme driving experience translates somehow into the looks of the car… maybe because it’s red?
