The new BMW M5 is set to get a concept reveal at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show but these pics have been leaked from a pre-launch event in Germany. The 2012 M5 production model will debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, but apart from receiving the final, official details, we don’t expect it will be too different from this concept model in terms of style.

What we already know about the new M5 is that we should see a powered-up version of the 4.4-litre V8 seen on the X6 - meaning we’ll be looking at upwards of that engine’s 546 horsepower. The new car should get a seven-speed DCT gearbox and a series of driving modes, including the M Driving Mode. Check out the hot-looking new M5 in the pics.
