Alfa Romeo 4C Spider renderings

It didn’t take long for the Alfa Romeo 4C Concept we saw live at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show to become a 4C Spider rendering. While the coupé model’s production hasn’t really been officially announced, more than one Alfa fan has been caught dreaming of late of where they’d like to see the brand going. And this spider version of the 4C would not be unwelcome.

The Alfa Romeo 4C concept could become a production model by next year. On showing the concept at Geneva, Alfa did confirm that the model was so far advanced as to be turned into a production number within 12 months. Our statistics on Eurocarblog showed us just how much interest there is the 4C and while the spider version is probably very premature, it doesn’t hurt to play around with Photoshop.

The Alfa 4C Spider imagined in these pics would run off the same drivetrain as what we’re likely to see on the production coupe: a 1750 direct-injected engine with more than 200 hp and TCT dual dry clutch. Everything seems ready for the series model but with the Alfa-Volkswagen affair continuing, we’re still preparing for possible upsets.
