The Golf SUV will be called Volkswagen Tiguan

The joint VW-Auto Bild poll is finished and the verdict is out: : the Golf SUV will be called Volkswagen Tiguan.
The official debut of the Tiguan is expected at the next Frankfurt IAA (september 2007). The engine range should include a 1.4 liter TSI twin-charger with 150 ps, two 2.0-liter TFSI engines with 170 and 200 ps respectively and the usual 2.0 TDI engines, with 140 and 170 ps. The Tiguan will be a road-orietend SUV, with 4Motion AWD system on all but the base model. Prices should be near those of the Toyota RAV4 (starting from about 26.000 €).
