After seeing the gorgeous Alfa Romeo 4C Concept in live pics from the Geneva Motor Show, here it is in its official guise and with all its details. In the hopes of production, the Alfa 4C looks like it could replace any plans for the MiTo GTA in the future of Alfa Romeo expansion. According to some rumours, the 4C could be produced in a total of about 15-20,000 units starting from 2012, across about five years. No official indication has been given as to the Alfa 4C price, but as we mentioned yesterday, we’re expecting an excessible price that could even be somewhere in the realm of 50,000 euros.
The Alfa 4C Concept is a two-seater coupĂ© model with rear-wheel drive and centrally mounted engine. It uses a carbon fibre and the rear chassis and “crash box” is made from aluminium. The weigh-power ratio is 4 kg/hp and weight distribution is 40:60. Alfa hasn’t released all the details of this model, but we do know it should have the 1750 turbo petrol engine with 200 hp and a sprint time to 100 km/hr of less than five seconds.
