The new SRT Viper TA is a track focused version of the popular muscle car. When you read that the TA in the car’s name means “Time Attack” you’ll understand SRT’s intentions for the car. If the TA part of the name is familiar to you that’s because it’s been used in the past on other muscle cars.
Although it’s not as extreme as the Viper ACR, the Viper TA will be far more exclusive. just 33 examples will be built and each will come in the far from subtle Crusher Orange colour seen in our shots. The modified Viper has dual mode Bilstein dampers from the GTS model with two selectable settings: Soft Track or Rough Track. The carbon fibre splitter and rear spoiler taken from the Advanced Aerodynamics pack and tyres and wheels from the Track package complete the mods. The springs and anti-roll bars have been tweaked for the track and carbon fibre’s been used in the engine bay as the X-brace is made from the material. SRT haven’t confirmed if the StopTech brakes from the Track pack will be included or if the uprated Viper will stick to the standard equipment found on the base model.
As the car’s track focused you won’t find a plush interior when you open the doors. The nappa leather interior from the GTS hasn’t made its way to the TA. The cloth interior isn’t flashy but its functional with seats that hold you firmly in during hard cornering and nothing to distract you from a fast lap time.
You should expect to pay over £100,000 to get your hands on one of these 640-hp, 8.4-litre V-10 powered monsters.
