The Citroen DS3 Racing model with the orange roof is a bit lairy for out taste, but then if you want to make a statement in the hot hatch segment and not spend a heap of money while doing it, the DS3 Racing model might be for you. Here’s another video of the model as Citroen announces market availability across Europe of the 2,000 vehicles that will be made. At about 29,000 euros you can get the higher-spec version of the Citroen DS3 in black night and orange tones, or Absolut White with grey finish. The racing stickers and coordinated car mats are optional on this model, while the sports seats come standard.
The racing model gets a slightly wider and lower wheelbase, new bumpers, side skirts and carbon fibre finishes compared to the standard model, and is equipped with the 1.6 turbo engine with 202 hp and 275 Nm of torque. It gets to 100 km/hr in 6.5 seconds and has an average fuel consumption of 6.4 l/100 km, with emissions at about 149 g/km. Other features include 323 mm Brembo disc brakes, a remapped ESP system which can also be deactivated and a ride height lowered by 15mm. See more in the video and pics.
