Auto Motor und Sport has an article about the upcoming mittel-klass saloons from Audi and Mercedes, the 2007/2008 C-Class and A4.

The Mercedes C-Class is going to be on the market first, in march 2007. It’s going to be 10 cm longer, growing to 4.68 meters, with a considerably shorter overhang and, consequently, longer wheelbase and more spacious cockpit.

The diesel engine range will feature: C 200 CDI (136 ps), C 220 CDI (170 ps) and C 320 CDI (224 ps). The C220 CDI and C320 CDI should also be available, for the rifst time, with the 4Matic 4WD system.

The gasoline engine range will feature:C 180 (156 ps), C 200 (184 pc), C 230 (204 ps), C 280 (231 ps), C 350 (272 ps) and the C 63 AMG with 450 ps. The CGI direct injection gasoline engines first seen on the CLS 350 CGI will debut only later on the C-Class.
