Here are the pics and video of the Peugeot EX1 Concept which took to the Montlhéry autodrome near Paris. A historic track, it recently came to the fore again with the Gymkhana 3 and Ken Block. The Peugeot EX1 is quite incredible to look at and we’ll cope with its more bizarre characteristics for the moment.
The EX1 Concept is basically Peugeot’s take on a superlight roadster racer which is only 90 cm tall. While it’s designed to be a radical example of pleasure driving, the EX1 is also what Peugeot describes as “environmentally sustainable”. It’s equipped with two electric engines and has a total of 340 hp.
Having already tried a few speed records with more to come later this year, the Peugeot EX1 Concept will probably remain strictly a show-room one-off. Not a bad thing given we’re not sure where to place it in terms of a market but still, we wouldn’t say no to something less concept-driven and more like a pleasure cruiser roadster that Peugeot might want to consider making…? The video is after the jump.
