Audi will present its new 1.4-litre TFSI engine for the Audi A1 at the 2010 Paris Motor Show in what will be the top-of-the-range A1 model. It’s characterised by more of a sports design, including a lower wheel base. The 185 hp is combined with 250 Nm of torque and the top speed is 227 km/hr. Acceleration to 100 km/hr occurs in 6.9 seconds and fuel consumption is declared at 5.9 litres per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 139 g/km.

The A1 1.4 TFSI will be available with the Ambition kit only and with S Line features it also gets dedicated 17-inch alloy wheels. The new engine model also offers the S tronic gearbox with seven speeds, front disc brakes measuring 288 mm, full LED lights and on the inside a Bose audio kit with 14 speakers (how can they fit that many in?!). German pricing for this top-end A1 starts at 24,250 euros.
