The BMW 6 Series Coupé Concept will go on display at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and should prove to be the next BMW GT model. It takes inspiration from the BMW Gran Coupé concept which was shown at Beijing and will include most of what we’ve seen on the new BMW 5 Series. The main stylistic aspect of the 6 Series Coupé Concept is the usual sloping coupé-sedan rear (given the 2+2 cabin space) we’re seeing all over the place at the moment.
Having so far taken on the code name of F11, the 6 Series Concept should become a production model by spring 2011 and further takes the step from the Chris Bangle era, with the stamp of head designer Adrian van Hooydonk. The smooth, elegant exterior design isn’t much different from what we were expecting, while the interior is closer to its ‘concept’ name with an organic look, sloping asymmetrical central console space and plenty of additional luxury in leather and aluminium features. If this is the future of BMW interiors, we like what we see and will be having a close look at the Paris show.
