Peugeot EX1 concept at Paris to celebrate 200 years

Peugeot EX1 Concept teaser pic A new Peugeot concept will be revealed at the upcoming 2010 Paris Motor Show and this is a small teaser image of its interior. Described by the French as an anniversary ’surprise’ the Peugeot EX1 concept is designed to celebrate the 200 year anniversary (although a spanking GTi old-school would have done it for us). The name puts is in mind of something electric but we won’t know anything until September 6 when the first details will emerge, and from there we will also see the first images on September 21.

As seen in the teaser picture, the steering wheel is in the style of a handlebar, meaning the concept could be something similar to the Peugeot BB1 we saw at last year’s Frankfurt show. Despite that, the EX1 concept is set to be a sports car concept and not a citycar and we’re hoping to see something original along the lines of the RCZ when it first debuted. If not a full electric, the new concept could prove a hybrid version but whatever the case, we hope it will be worthy of the celebration - 200 years is, after all, an impressive history to live up to.
