0 Comments from ReadersI was horrified on first seeing this that Autocar was going to a 90-second test drive verdict on the Pagani Zonda R but in retrospect it would have been fun to see them try. What’s there to say, really? The Zonda R represents the Zonda swansong before the new Pagani C9 turns up but that obviously doesn’t mean they shoved one off the production line with a few stickers attached and called it a special edition.
The Pagani Zonda R is equipped with an aspirated six-litre V12 engine with 750 hp. Clearly not a street legal car. The presenter is visibly excited which is quite funny really as he takes us through the technical details of the vehicle. The Zonda R can reach 900 hp without its power limiter and its gearbox is a full track job.
We’ll leave you to check out the video yourselves but we had to point out the one hilarious quote from Italian driver, Andrea Montermini. Question: “How do you drive it?” Answer: “It’s a piece of cake.”
