The Volkswagen Scirocco is coming back: an official press release at SEMA confirms that VW will soon build a small, sporty 2+2 coupe “that hearkens to the heyday of the Scirocco“.
As anticipated elsewhere, arrival is expected in 2008, the base engine will be the 1.4 TSI turbo+supercharged with 170 hp, followed by the 200 hp 2.0 TFSI (maybe also in the 240 hp evolution expected for a Golf Super-GTI). Top of the range will be the 3.2 V6 FSI of the Golf R32. The platform should share much with the new Jetta [Via German Car Blog].
