The Citroen DS3 will get a cabrio version and here is the first rendering of the open-top DS3. Reports from France say that the DS3 Cabrio will be available from 2011, bringing the date forward from 2012 to replace the Citreon C3 Pluriel which is to finish production soon.

The DS3 Cabriolet will be based on the Peugeot 207 CC and should see an improvement on the much-criticised style of the C3 Pluriel. It will have a fabric soft top as a vintage style in line with competitors like the Mini Cabrio and Fiat 500C. It is expected to cost about 3,000 euros more than the hard-top version and should have the same engine line-up as the current DS3.
