Here are renderings of the new Mercedes C-Class Coupé which will be presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car will not substitute the Mercedes CLC but has been planned as a competitor to the Audi A5 and the BMW 3 Series Coupé. As we can see, the C-Class Coupé is unlikely to reveal anything revolutionary and will continue the current design and technical solutions of the sedan and station wagon models. The latter models will undergo a mid-career restyling in January in 2011 and will be presented at the Detroit auto show.
The C-Class Coupé will be about 445 cm long, which is less 15 than the C-Class sedan. In light of the Mercedes CL restyling not adopting the name of S-Class coupé, this new model could be offered as the third generation Mercedes CLK, although Mercedes is gradually evolving the names of its line-up. The C-Class Coupé will be available with four-cylinder engine options, all with stop&start system and the 7G-Tronic transmission. A starting price should be about 35,000 euros.
