Each of the following three videos celebrates 25 years of the BMW M3, from 1986 to 2010. The first video above is dedicated to the 1992 M3 E30 and E36 models while after the jump are the second and third videos of the E36 and E46 from 2000, and the 2007 E90/E92/E93. The first ever M3 was a two-door sedan model with a 2.3-litre, four-cylinder engine which had 200 hp. That gave it a top speed, 25 years ago, of 235 km/hr.
The BMW M3 has evolved a lot over the years, with new versions and engines, including the first M3 coupĂ© with a six-cylinder, 3.0-litre and 286 hp. We have also seen cabrio models and, in 1995, the first ever four-sedan M3 model which had a huge 321 hp at the time. The current BMW M3 has a 4.0-litre V8 with 420 hp based on the five-litre V10 from the M5. Today’s M3 range represents the whole spectrum of coupĂ©, cabrio and four-door sedan. The videos have no commentary but you won’t want to miss them if you love this car.
