Here are a bunch of spy shots featuring the new Skoda Octavia Combi RS. This is the sportier and more aggressive variant of the Czech manufacturer’s estate, which is part of the Volkswagen group. The most characteristic features of this model are the restyled front bumper and the trapezoidal exhaust pipes. The new design should also include larger wheels.
From the images we can see that Skoda Octavia Combi RS is shown in production version, ready for its official début, which is expected to take place in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Germany, and will be introduced on the market in the weeks following the event.
Skoda Octavia Combi RS will be equipped with a four-cylinder 2.0-litre TFSi engine, sourced from the Volkswagen Golf VII GTI, producing 220 hp of power output and 350 Nm of peak torque. The unit will be mated to both a six-speed manual transmission and a DSG, electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox. In addition the manufacturer may also offer a diesel variant.
To date, Skoda has not revealed whether the Octavia Combi RS version will also be available with all-wheel drive, but rumours seem to confirm this possibility.
