Some people like it, some people can barely stand the sight of it: since its arrival on the markets, the Porsche Panamera has divided the opinions of the motorists worldwide, with many detractors going as far as to say that this front-engined four-door saloon from the German manufacturer shouldn’t be considered a ‘true Porsche’, just like the controversial Cayenne. On the other hand, there are people praising Porsche“>Porsche for having the courage to inaugurate a new segment in the market that turned out to be quite successful - the four-door coupe segment, that is - and we do not think that the upcoming face-lifted version will have either side change its mind.
This latest set of spy photos showing the facelifted Porsche Panamera allow us to take a good look at the new rear lights. The pictured mule seems to have a slightly sleeker shape and different graphics, which should provide the Panamera with new aesthetics that will have it look fresh enough for the next few years. At one photo we can also compare the old and new design.
A facelift wouldn’t be a facelift if the front-end would stay the same, and of course the front end will be subjected to big changes as well. If the rumors are true, the facelifted Panamera will get a front end more like the Sport Turismo Concept. Let’s just hope for that, and let’s hope that the Sport Turismo Concept will show up as a prototype too as soon as possible.
