The new Porsche 911 Turbo has a new engine and has been released as an even more powerful model than before. The current twin-turbo 3.6-litre engine has been substituted with the direct injection, 3.8-litre unit of the Carrera S.
Other modifications include updates to the fuel system and turbochargers themselves for an increase of 20 hp to a total of 493 hp. Porsche seems to be very focused on really delivering on the sports style of this new turbo with a new Traction Management system that delivers torque to the wheels through an electronic multiple-plate clutch.
Standard transmission is a six-speed manual gearbox, with a seven-speed twin-clutch PDK transmission available as an option. It will have full paddle shifts rather than the current shift function buttons in use. Alloy wheels are standard, with 19-inch RS Spyder options and a Sport Chrono package is also available.
