The words “600 GTB Coming Soon” appeared for a few brief minutes on Ferrari’s press site, but the appearance has since been denied by Ferrari. The 600 GTB could be the evolution of the 612 Scaglietti, of which we’ve seen some spy shots.
The plan for the new 612 Scaglietti is to reduce significantly fuel consumption and emissions without impacting adversely on performance. According to some reports, the GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta) could also be a development on the 599 Fiorano, with modifications to the V12 engine.
The new Ferrari 458 Italia seems to be the inspiration for most of this work, with the 4.5 litre V8 engine at 570 hp producing 320 g/km of CO2 and consuming 13.7 litres of fuel per 100 km.
