Czech manufacturer Praga Cars releases the first details and images of its upcoming sportscar Praga R1, a new radical model that has been designed and built for track use only. The model is actually pretty interesting as its parameters, including the price, makes it really suitable for a pretty wide audience.
This stunning looking machine is powered by a four-cylinder 2.0 liter engine delivering 210 hp at 7,500 rpm supplied by RenaultSport, the Motorsport division of the renowned French carmaker. This particular unit is characterized by a pretty sharp and pungent power delivery that combined with the extremely low weight of the car (590 kg, roughly 1298 puonds) will make for a pretty impressive power-to-weight ratio.
The Prague R1 is equipped with a 6-speed Hewland JFR sequential transmission with limited slip differential. Measuring 4.17 meters in length, 1.80 meters in width and 0.99 meters in height, the car boasts a maonocoque frame made of carbon fiber and can be provided with all the accessories needed to take part in several FIA events. The Praga R1 comes with a 98,000 € price tag.
