The all new 2014 Hyundai Genesis sedan has just hit the streets of Europe for its’ first test drive, and from what we can see, things with the Genesis are looking quite impressive. Codenamed “DH,” the new Genesis will ride on an updated version of the current RWD chassis and apparently it will shed a few hundred pounds and boast revised suspension for a sportier drive.
Overall, the styling cues we can see from this ne set of spy-shots look quite a bit more dramatic that the current Genesis sedan (we actually think it has a sort of ‘German feel’ to it): LED running lights are visible up front along with a wide, hexagonal grille opening featuring horizontal grille bars. While we can’t say for sure, the headlights look as they might be full LED units.
As for the engine range, the Genesis should continue on with updated versions of the 3.8-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 offerings under the hood. An 8-speed transmission will be available at launch, but a 10-speed transmission will also be in the works for a later model year.
