Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series is starring in this new video, after stealing the lime-light at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The German super sportscar is equipped with the same mighty M159 V8 engine placed under the hood of the whole Mercedes SLS line-up. On this particular model the Affalterbach’s engineers have revised few of the engine’s components and have extended the rev limiter to 8,000 rpm, enabling the unit to reach a maximum output of 631 hp and a peak torque of 635 Nm.
In terms of performance Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series covers the 0-100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 315 km / h. AMG engineers have also developed a new aerodynamic kit, specifically for this exclusive version, which optimises downforce and improves air flow to properly cool both engine and brakes.
