Acura - Honda’s luxury brand for the United States - is at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show to introduce the latest NSX prototype. We have already seen this car several times in various international exhibitions, with its first appearance on European soil dating back at the latest Geneva Motor Show before it showed up again at the Paris Motor Show.
The new Honda/Acura NSX - heir of the iconic Japanese supercar of the 90s bearing the same name - is expected to hit the market by 2015. In its prototype version, the Honda NSX is 4.33 meters long and boasts extremely modern lines typical of a premium sports coupe: its captivating front-end is seamlessly coupled to a pretty sporty rear-end, with large LED lights that characterize the look of its sharp tail.
With regard to powertrain, the NSX is equipped with the advanced SH-AWD (Super Hybrid All Wheel Drive) which combines anaturally aspirated mid-mounted V6 with two electric motors placed on the front wheels, which allows for higher performance and lower fuel consumption while improving the overall handling of the car.
