Infiniti showed up at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show with the Red Bull Formula 1 car that just won both Drivers and Constructors World Championships with Sebastian Vettel, but Nissan’s luxury brand had something else up its sleeve to attract the interest of the American public: the new Infiniti G37, the Infiniti LE electric concept (that we had seen at the New York Motor Show) and the whole range of SUVs that the Japanese carmaker has to offer in North America.
The Infiniti G has been presented in roadster and coupe configurations, the latter of which is being showcased in its IPL variant, the sportiest version of the range. The Infiniti G37 is equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine producing 320 hp and 320 Nm of torque: this unit allows the car to go from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds, reaching a top speed is 250 km/h (155 mph).
One of the most sought-after models at the Infiniti’s stall in California is the Infiniti QX56, a huge SUV specifically dedicated to the American market. Also making an appearance at the Infiniti booth are the Infiniti JX, the Infiniti EX and the Infiniti FX.
