The new Lamborghini Murcielago won’t debut before 2011, but we know it will be compact, light and equipped with a V12 of apparently 670 hp. Auto Motor und Sport has created this rendering of a direct evolution on the current generation. Nervy and tense lines have been used in shades of the Gallardo and the Reventon.

The new V12 engine should adopt direct injection technology, while the chassis will abandon steel to make way for alluminium. We should see some improvements on the robustness of the chassis however, and all wheel drive on a shorter wheel base will be present.
