After having presented the Mercedes GL Class at the New York show, the company has released these shots of the facelift. It appears graceful and comfortable after the modifications, and less agressive compared to the previous generation.
The over-size dimension has apparently allowed for new engine options, including two new V6’s which are both diesel (at 224 hp, and 211 hp for the BlueTEC version), three V8’s with power ranging from 306 hp for the 450 CDI, and 388 hp for the 500 petrol. In addition, Mercedes has shaved eight percent off fuel consumption, conforming to Euro 5 norms.
Airmatic suspension will also increase the height of the car to 307 millimetres and the Offraod-Pro package gives added four wheel drive capability.
