Here are some more spy shots of the Jaguar XJ, to be presented in London on July 9th. The pics come from XJ testing on the Nurburgring track.
The first video teaser was presented at the Shanghai show, and showed dynamic lines, and a modern car inspired by the smaller XF. It also showed some of the first details of the car, with components made from alluminium.
The innovation on the chassis will also be matched by a new 3.0 litre V6 turbodiesel developed by Peugeot-Citroen under the bonnet. This engine has 275 hp, and will join the 5.0 litre V8 model with 385 hp, and the supercharged version at 510 hp. We could even see a hybrid plug-in version in future.
Regarding style, the XJ will have a new look similar to that of the XF, which cancelled the classic S-Type design in one hit. The new model will be similarly revolutionary for Jaguar, with the purists happy or not.
