Chevrolet Spark EV will be presented during the Los Angeles Auto Show (30th November - 9th December) and will be hitting the U.S. market in the first half of 2013. The car might not be crossing the pond any time soon, as it was created in order to compete with the electric versions of Fiat 500 and Scion iQ hatchbacks, sold in America.
Chevrolet has not released any new image regarding the car, and just re-published a teaser that clearly illustrates the new digital instrument panel. The Chevrolet Spark EV will be equipped with the same electric motor fitted on the prototype, with output of 116 hp and powered by a lithium-ion battery pack supplied by A123 Systems. The electric Spark won’t be the only innovation expected on the stand of the Californian Show.
Chevrolet will also present the new advanced version of the MyLink infotainment system, which will be equipping the Impala line-up from 2013. The software will introduce new functionalities to pair smartphones and will also expand its series of apps that will comprise a new navigation system.
