Here’s a look at a full gallery of the Audi Q7 restyling with the style updates seen on the front. The single frame of the new design features, with vertical chrome elements and shiny black finishes. The bumpers have also been updated, with contrasting colour in black or grey, and LED lights are now included.
New lights also feature on the rear, and four new colours are available, including ibis white, metallic graphite grey, metallic tek brown, and metallic black. The external measurements remain the same, while the interior has new elements such as new look instrumentation with metallic frames.
Six different engines are available on the Q7, in the petrol range: the 3.6 litre FSI V6 at 280 hp, the 4.2 litre FSI V8 at 350 hp, and at the top of the range, the 6.0 litre TDI V12 at 500 hp. The V8 4.2 litre has fuel consumption from 11.1 to 9.9 litres per 100 km.
The best seller 3.0 litre TDI V6 at 240 hp and 550 Nm will also be available, including the “3.0 TDI clean diesel” version. It has low fuel consumption of 8.9 litres per 100 km, and thanks to its complex exhaust purification system, is the least pollutant engine around. It even satisfies the strict US LEV II Bin 5 laws, and the new Euro 6 proposed for 2014.
All the new Audi Q7 engines have new technology, based on increasing efficiency and improving CO2 emissions. Mechanical energy produced in braking phases is transformed into electric energy, then stored in the battery. CO2 emissions have thus been reduced to 5 g/km.
The chassis also sees some new technology, with “adaptive air suspension” as an option, electronically controlled and offering three different shock absorber modes of Comfort, Automatic and Dynamic. Road cruising is comfortable and sporty, with the possibility of switching to off-road driving when required.
Plenty of comfort features are included, with storage especially for dirty objects, steering assistance, roof storage available, MMI system, air conditioning, CD player and eight speakers. Comfort key and four-zone air conditioning are optional, along with a high-end climatised seat. “S line exterior” and “S line” packages are also available.
