Following the release of the first official pictures, Opel/Vauxhall has also produced a video featuring the new Cascada. The German convertible sports a fabric roof-top that opens in 17 seconds up to a speed of 50 km / h. At launch, the engine line-up will include a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, offered with power outputs of 120 and 140 horsepower, both with 220 Nm of maximum torque. The diesel range will comprise the 2.0-litre CDTI with ouput rated at 165 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque.
Both petrol engines will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox; the 2.0-litre CDTI diesel will also be equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, as optional. Subsequently the new 1.6-litre Turbo Ecotec Sidi will be introduced: it is a direct injection petrol engine that can produce an output of 170 hp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm.
