Autotelegraaf.nl has published the official photos of the new Audi S6 (as, usual, Dutch sites are very quick!). The scans of the saloon seen some days ago are confirmed as the real thing, and two pics of the S6 Avant are available as well.
The engine is the Lamborghini-derived 5.2 liters V10, detuned to output 420 hp, favoring torque at low rotations: the maximum torque is 540 Nm, available between 3,000 and 4,000 rpm.
Performances are good, as expected: 5.2 seconds from 0-100 km/h for the saloon (5.3 seconds for the Avant), top speed is an electronically limited 250 km/h.
The Quattro 4WD has a “default” torque distribution of 40% to the front wheels and 60% to the rear wheels, grounded through 265/35 tyres mounted on new 19″ rims in subtly broadened wheel housings. Four exhaust tubes (oval and chromed) complete the picture, together with a couple of subtle V10 logos on the flank.
