This Ferrari Testa Rossa is expected to break the record of seven million euros paid for the Ferrari California at last year’s Leggenda e Passione auction. The 2009 auction features this Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, which you can see in the gallery below.
The car is an example that was made in 1957, with the serial number of 0714TR, with Scaglietti body work in a “pontoon-fender” style. The first owner of the car was Piero Drogo, who bought it in that year, and took it to its debut as a private vehicle in the 1000km of Buenos Aires in January 1958. He finished fourth behind Phil Hill, Peter Collins, Wolfgang von Trips and Olivier Gendebien.
The car was also driven by Alan Connell in various north american races in 1959, with a few victories. It’s last race was in 1963 at the Elkhart Lake 500. This will be sold on pure automobile passion, without a doubt, given its special engineering, workmanship and vintage style.
