AutoExpress has released some very juicy news, revealing that at the 2010 Geneva show, Jaguar is set to present a mid-engined super sports car, for the moment called XE. This is big news for anyone who was waiting for an heir to the XJ220.
Jaguar looks to have got its grunt back under the Tata Motors management and while nothing is confirmed, post-Ford management, the brand is undergoing a sports comeback with some ambitious projects.
It is said this supercar could adopt the new 5-litre V8 supercharged at 510hp, presented on the XF-R currently on show at the Detroit auto show. If the project comes to light, it will be the first mid-engined Jaguar since the XJ220. We can’t help but be happy.
