Auto Motor und Sport has some news on the Golf SUV and a couple of computer generated images (front and rear). The Golf SUV will debut on the market in nel 2007, it will be 4.40 meters long (20 cm longer than the Golf V) and 1.80 meters wide, about as big as a Toyota RAV4. The boot will have a capacity of about 510 liters.

4 Wheel Drive will not be present on all versions of the Golf SUV. The engine range is sure to center on the 170 hp 1.4 TSI twincharger engine and the 140 hp 2.0 TDI engine. Nothing is certain about the presence of VR6 engines under the hood of this Golf (the 3.2 with 250 hp and the 3.6 with 280 hp). The gearbox will be either manual or DSG.

Prices will start from 25.000 €. No news on the name, Auto Motor und Sport writes that the Beduin and Marrakesch have probably been rejected.
