Germancarfans publishes a gallery of spyshots of performance estates, caught in testing both on normal roads and in arctic climates.

The three estates (Audi S6 Avant, BMW M5 Touring and Mercedes E63 AMG) have a grand total of 28 cylinders (8+10+10) and 12 exhaust tubes … Let’s start in alphabetic order.

First, the new Audi S6 Avant, with its Lamborghini-derived engine, a 5.2 liters V10, a further detuned version of the 450 hp engine that equips its big sister, the S8. We are sure that the remaining 440 hp will be more than enough to get this monster moving sprightly.

Second, the M5 Touring, already seen in various circumstances. Sadly, no news on when its fortunate owners will be able to unleash the 507 horsepower of its fantastic Motorsport-prepared V10 (spring 2007 ?).

Last but not least, the E63 AMG Estate, lucky recipient of the latest horsepower transplant from the AMG surgeons: unknown, as yet, whether the 6.3 liters V8 will have the full power complement (510 hp like the S, ML and R classes), or if it’ll be a little detuned (there’s talk of 470 cv) to better acquaint it with this “quiet” benz station wagon.
