Japanese dealers of the new supercar, Nissan GT-R, have been instructed not to take any further orders for the vehicle at this stage, due to possible production problems. The order to temporarily suspend orders relates to Japanese dealers only, leading to speculation that there is a probably with Japan-manufactered components.
Plenty of rumours abound as to the halt, but so far Nissan has released no official statement. The GT-R is currently beleaguered with a material price increase, claims of differences in Nurburgring lap times and a launch control transmission issue which doesn’t cover emission norms. Here’s hoping the problem doesn’t disperse to other GT-R production lines.
