The rumours look like they’re finally being confirmed, despite the “oxymoron” present in the fact that Ferrari will present a spider version of the 430 Scuderia by the end of the year. For some, this is purely a marketing move as the glamour of a spider version is the antithesis of the high demand for the minimalist and pure style of the Scuderia.

The only hope is that the spider will keep to lightweight and sporty principles with no compromises, as it currently weighs 70 kg more than the coupè. Ferrari intends on creating a limited series, probably aimed at collectors, in 300 units of a model likely to presented at the finals of the Challenge Ferrari championship at Mugello in November.
