BMW showed up at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to introduce the Zagato Roadster, the open version of the Zagato Coupe model that was premiered last May at the Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance, in Italy. The new partnership between the Bavarian carmaker and the famous Italian designer has now given birth to this beautiful spider, designed and built in over a period of six weeks and based on the Z4.
Aesthetically, the style of this new Roadster is obviously inspired by the Zagato Coupe, sporting the same front end (please note the unusual “double kidney” front grills). pretty interesting is the moders architecture of its roll bars, located behind the front headrests and covered with fine brown leather: check that out in our photo gallery.
The rear end is even further departure from the original car, featuring a futuristic burnished band that includes the tail-lights. Also worth mentioning is that cool set of 19″ 5-spoke alloy wheels. The icing on the cake is provided by the changing paint-job, capable of generating different shades of gray (no pun intended). The more conventional interior that, upholstery aside, do not propose specific changes from the car it derives from.
