New spy photos of the new BMW M3 sedan, caught on film during testing at the mighty Nurburgring. The new “Motorsport-3″ model is obviously based on the recent “F30″ series (and deriving variants F32 Coupe and F33 Convertible) and will be pushed by a 6-cylinder engine that will be enhanced with a turbocharger - though this last bit has yet to be defined in full - and provide an output of about 450 hp.
It goes without saying that the new M3 will be also a little lighter, faster and more powerful than the car that it will go on to replace, while fuel consumption and pollutant emissions will also decrease proportionally. As for the transmission, customers will be able to choose between a classic manual gearbox or an automatic double clutch option.
These new spy shots show us bigger brakes and the so-called “power dome” hump on the hood, a distinguishing feature of the last two generations of this model along with the dual exhausts. The brand new version of the most powerful 3-Series car is expected to debut in late 2013-early 2014.
