The whole fleet of autonomous vehicles developed by Google has completed over 300,000 miles (over 480,000 kilometres) without causing any accidents. For this reason, the Mountain View’s company has already agreed to intensify testing, by sending some of its self-driving cars to complete real human tasks, such as driving in city traffic. Google engineers are also adding new tougher assignments to test the problem-solving skills of the autonomous system, which will face difficulties like driving in snow and recognising road signs. Google has added a Lexus RX450h to the group of Toyota Prius available so far.
